in是介词，英语中的一些小词，用法繁杂，很难有一劳永逸的解决方法，只能遇到一个记忆一个，但是，只要抓住其基本意思，其他的意思都是基本意思的延伸、拓展。
1. (表示地方)在(某事物)的范围内的一点上
She lives in a small village in France. 她住在法国的一个小乡村里。
2. 在(某物)的形体或范围中; 在...之内; 在...之中
Leave the key in the lock. 钥匙就留在锁孔里吧。
3.(表示移动) 进入(某物):
Throw it in the fire. 把它扔到火里去吧。
4. 在(某段时间)内
in spring, summer, etc 在春天﹑ 夏天等。
5. 在(一整段时间)之后
It will be ready in a week. 一周之后即准备妥当。
6. 在某段时间内
I haven't seen him in years. 我多年没见到他了。
7. 构成(某事物)的整体或部分; 包含在...之内
seven days in a week 一星期有七天
8. 表示比率
One in ten said they preferred their old brand of margarine. 有十分之一的人说比较喜欢老牌子的人造黄油。
9. 穿戴(衣物等)
dressed/clothed in rags 穿着[衣着]褴褛
10. 表示具体的环境﹑ 情况等
go out in the rain, sun, cold, etc 冒着雨﹑ 顶着太阳﹑ 冒着寒冷等外出
11. 表示某人[某事物]的状态或状况
in order 整齐 ; in a mess 乱七八糟#p#副标题#e#
12. 表示形式﹑ 形状﹑ 安排或数量
a novel in three parts 分为三部分的一本小说; stand in groups 成群地站着
13. 表示媒体﹑ 手段﹑ 材料等
speak in English 用英语说 ; write a message in code 用密码写一条消息
14. 用以引出某人姓名
We have lost a first-rate teacher in Jim. 我们失去了吉姆这位一流的教师。
15. 在(某)方面; 关于; 至于
He's behind the others in reading but a long way ahead in arithmetic. 他在阅读方面不如别人, 但算术却遥遥领先。
16. 表示某人的职业﹑ 活动等
He's been in politics all his life. 他一生从政。
这么多的用法，其实只要记住其本质意思“在……内”会比较好记。
