think既可用作不及物动词，也可用作及物动词。用作及物动词时,后接同源名词、代词、动词不定式、带有疑问词的动词不定式或that/wh-从句作宾语。接动词不定式作宾语时，多用于否定句或疑问句中。think作“认为”解时，可接复合宾语，其宾语由名词、动名词、动词不定式或that从句充当。充当宾语的动名词、动词不定式或that从句常置于宾语补足语之后，而以it作形式宾语置于宾语补足语之前(it现在趋向省去)。

如：I thought I heard a scream.
我好像听到了一声尖叫。
2.想；思考；思索；思想
如：All he ever thinks about is money.
他满脑子想的只是钱。
3.（通常用于进行时) 想；琢磨
如：I was just thinking what a long way it is.
我刚才在琢磨路途太远了。
4.猜想；想象；试想
如：We couldn't think where you'd gone.
我们猜想不出来你到哪里去了。
5.料想；预料；预期
如：The job took longer than we thought.
这项工作用的时间比我们预想的多。
6.只想；一心想；对...着迷
如：If you want to make money, you've got to think money.
你要想赚钱，就得一门心思琢磨钱。
7.打算；想要；计划
如：I'm thinking in terms of about 70 guests at the wedding.
我打算邀请70位嘉宾参加婚礼。
8.记得；想起
如：I can't think where I put the keys.
我想不起把钥匙放哪儿了。
