take用作及物动词时可接名词或代词作宾语，也可接双宾语，作“带给”时其间接宾语可转化为介词to的宾语。用作不及物动词时主动形式可表示被动意义。take与某些名词连用，表示做某一动作，相当于have，还可接以“to be/as”充当补足语的复合宾语。
1.携带；拿走；取走；运走
如：I forgot to take my bag with me when I got off the bus.
我下公共汽车时忘了拿包。
2.带去；引领
如：I'm taking the kids swimming later.
我待会儿带孩子们去游泳。
3.使达到，把...推向，把...带到（另一个层次、层面等）
如：We'll take the matter forward at our next meeting
我们将在下一次会议上进一步讨论这个问题。
4.拿；抱；握；取；接
如：I passed him the rope and he took it.
我把绳子递给他，他接了过去。
5.拿开；取出；挪开
如：Will you take your books off the table?
把你的书从桌子上拿走好吗？
6.擅自拿走；偷走；误拿
如：Someone has taken my scarf.
有人把我的围巾拿走了。
7.从...中取出；取材于
如：Part of her article is taken straight out of my book.
她的文章有一部分是从我的书中抄来的。
8.夺取；攻占；抓获；控制
如：The state has taken control of the company.
政府已经接管了这家公司。
9.选中；买下；租用
如：I'll take the grey jacket.
我要那件灰色夹克衫。
10.吃；喝；服（药）
如：Do you take sugar in your coffee?
你的咖啡里要放糖吗？
11.记录；摘录；记下
如：The police officer took my name and address.
警察记下了我的姓名和地址。
