expect通常指有很大程度的把握，但仍含有预料之意，或预计某事或某行动的发生。那么expect常见的句型搭配有哪些呢？
1.expect to do：期待着去做
例句：I looked back, half expecting to see someone following me.
我回过头去，想着可能看到有人跟着我。
2.expect sb. to do sth.：期望某人做某事
例句：Do you really expect me to believe you?
你真以为我会相信你吗？
3.expect doing sth
表示时间持续的,可以用doing,例：
例句：I expect your coming back.
我（一直）期待着你归来,强调时间上的持续.
4.expect of ，译为“对…期望(要求)”。

5.expect that 从句
其后可接 that 从句，若从句谓语为否定，注意否定的转移。
