辅音字母组合是指两个或两个以上的字母组合在一起，发辅音的音，就是辅音字母组合。字母组合的存在，解决了英文音多形少的问题。英文最早使用的只有26个字母，每个字母发一个音，发现音不太够，到了学辅音时，就已经有了30个音了。字母组合的出现丰富了英文的书写。字母和字母组合能够一起构成更多的单词。
